Summer 2012: A mule deer bounding away in a valley below me.
2012.10.6: First snake spotted just off the trail. It looked like a foot-long black earthworm with a red spot at one end. Possibly a ringneck snake that has a red neck band.
2012.11.22, 11:15 AM: Buck and two does jumping across the trail in front of me.
2013.4.5, 8:45 AM: Roadrunner cooing, feeding, gliding into bushes.
2013.4.9, 12:15 PM: Coyote strolling uphill on Tijeras Creek trail.
2013.5.5, 1:18 PM: Three roadrunners. One making clattering noise, wings beating the ground, and bowing to a roadrunner opposite it.
2013.5.12, 11:00 AM: Three roadrunners. One bowing, beating the ground with its wings in front of another roadrunner.
2013.6.2, 2:09 PM: Mule deer bounding away over ridge.
